We take responsibility
Globalisation, climate change and social change are among the major challenges of our time. It is about nothing less than shaping the future in which we want to live. The commitment of all parts of our society is required in order to maintain and improve fair and respectful coexistence in a healthy and safe environment. The ROTHENBERGER Group has set itself the task of making a committed and courageous contribution to this.
ROTHENBERGER Sustainability Report 2023/2024
Globalisation, climate change and social change are the major challenges of our time. The ROTHENBERGER Group has been facing up to this responsibility for many years. The sustainability report documents the endeavours of the entire Group with regard to society, our employees, our customers, business partners and the environment.
With the report, we provide concrete insights into the developments and change processes resulting from our sustainability efforts. Representative of many measures, the sustainability report provides a cross-section of six fields of action. From now on, we will publish an updated sustainability report every year, which will make our commitment to sustainability transparent.
Our most important goal: climate neutrality by 2025. We are also pursuing other ambitious goals, such as the optimisation of all packaging and products as well as targeted investments in sustainable product and system solutions.

Clear values are the basis of our actions - both in our relationships with our customers and business partners and within the company. We see corporate social responsibility (CSR) as an integral part of our strategic and commercial activities. Responsibility is one of our 7 ROTHENBERGER corporate values, according to which we think and act. There is reason enough to be proud of what has already been achieved and started, but we know that there is still a lot to do: There is still a lot to do. Every step counts. Let's get going!
"Responsibility is part of our DNA as a family business. This includes treating our environment with respect as well as promoting diversity and fairness in society and within the company."
Dr Sabine Rothenberger, Member of the Supervisory Board of ROTHENBERGER AG
Sustainable use of tools at the ROTHENBERGER Factory Outlet
The ROTHENBERGER Factory Outlet not only offers high-quality tools at attractive prices, but also focusses on sustainability. By extending the service life of products and offering B-goods, it promotes the conscious use of resources. The outlet also supports the repair and reuse of tools, which helps to reduce waste and CO₂ emissions. Customers can therefore not only save money, but also actively contribute to environmental friendliness.
In addition, part of the purchase price of repaired and upgraded products is donated to climate protection projects. This can be recognised by the "Sustained by TOOLS FOR LIFE" sticker on the product.
Sustainability and quality go hand in hand at the ROTHENBERGER Factory Outlet - for a better future.
Fields of action of the ROTHENBERGER CSR strategy
Foundations of our CSR strategy
ROTHENBERGER's CSR strategy is based on the recommendations on the core topics of the international standard ISO 26000 (as of 2010). The detailed specifications serve to maintain intact ecosystems, achieve social justice and ensure good organisational management. Even if not all individual aspects apply to our company to the same extent, it is important to us to incorporate all core topics into our strategic considerations and our daily actions.
**"The overarching goal of social responsibility is to contribute to sustainable development ... to ensure intact ecosystems, social justice and good organisational governance." **(ISO 26000, page 7)
On this page, we show the areas in which we are already active, what new activities we have launched and what our next goals are.
