ROTHENBERGER employees lend a hand with aid project in South Africa

As part of the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation's YOUR COMMITMENT initiative, four ROTHENBERGER employees were given the opportunity to get involved in a social project in South Africa. In Venture, a small settlement of around 1,000 people, they helped to build a new community centre, which also includes a kindergarten and an orphanage.

Venture is a village inhabited by agricultural labourers who are fighting for legal recognition. Housing conditions are poor, with many of the shelters made of tin, wood and cardboard. There is a lack of basic social infrastructure. To remedy this, the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation is supporting the construction of a community centre that will serve as a meeting place for the village community. A kindergarten for 40 children and an orphanage for 20 children are also being built. The building complex will be equipped with sanitary facilities and a well to significantly improve the local quality of life.
